A week ago I was eating in my favorite Indian restaurant in New York City thinking that it would be a long time before I had another Indian meal that good. But, I was mistaken! The food at Royal India is as good, possibly better, than that of my Big Apple Favorite. So for me, what distinguishes a good Indian restaurant from a great one largely has to do with the little things: decor, specialty dishes, breads, service. It it those types of considerations that have made Royal India my favorite Indian restaurant in Utah. Royal India is the best Utah has to offer

Chef/ owner, Emmanuel Shanthakumar, opened Royal India, where he concentrates on preparing authentic Indian Cuisine that never disappoints. Tantalizing spices enhance the flavors of chef specialties. Tasteful surroundings and gracious servers enhance the dining experience. 

There is no shortage of Indian eateries in Salt Lake Valley, so why do Indian food aficionados trek out to Sandy's Bountiful's Royal India to dine? Well it comes down to Emmanuel Shanthakumar and family, who welcome customers with warm Indian hospitality and the bowl them over with lovely restaurant ambiance and the most authentic India  cuisine in the state.

I've tried several Indian food places in the Salt Lake Valley due to my intense cravings I experience often for Indian food. This place is my selected favorite. Large portion sizes, quick service, authentic environment and feel.

"Royal India brings spicy culture to Bountiful" says Dave Anderton from Deseret Morning News. He adds that the owner, Emmanuel Shanthakumar, goes 'round the world to get his recipes right. Paul Barker, also from the Deseret Morning News says the Emmanuel maintains a friendly atmosphere at his Bountiful restaurant. This spot is the one I like best. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The team is very friendly and the food they serve is so fresh and tasty. I am always happy to have a good dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place!

This place obviously know how to please their customers. Constantly with a very nice mindset. The food is conveniently prices, constantly delicious and neat.

Such a hidden gem in our little town of Bountiful, you do an amazing job with authentic Indian cuisine and they never had a meal  here that we didn't absolutely love. Don't forget to order the garlic naan with your meal.
